"Two good-lookin' blue-eyed gals"Gloria went to the doctor last Thursday for her 6 month appointment even though she was 6 1/2 months old. Her stats are as follows - she weighed in at a whopping 18 lbs. 14 1/2 oz; she was 27 1/4 inches long; her head circumference was 17 1/2 inches. Each measurement is the 90th percentile. She got 3 shots again and only cried a little bit. The rest of the day Gloria was her happy-go-lucky self.
That same day, Gloria tried butternut squash and loved it. She kept opening her mouth big and wide while I was still getting it on the spoon! This past Sunday Gloria had green beans and today she tried plums. She enjoyed both of those new foods as well. So far she has enjoyed each food we've introduced to her - even though it took a few times for her to warm up to peaches.
Tonight Rob and I had fresh green beans with our dinner. After we had washed them and were ready to put them in the pot to cook, we gave Gloria one to see what she would do. She gnawed on it and thought it was yummy. Of course we made sure she didn't get any big pieces or anything. I think she probably just got green bean 'juice'.
"Green beans are good!"
