Gadzooks!

Gloria weighs 15 pounds!!! That's a far cry from the 8 lbs. 9 oz. she weighed when she was born!

My mom and I just came back from taking her to the doctor. Gloria has been having diarrhea for the past 2 1/2 weeks, spitting up a lot, and having a really gurgley tummy (so loud that sometimes it makes me think she's going to the bathroom). Rob has called a couple of times and the doctor's office just kept saying to keep an eye on her and let them know in a few days how she is. Well, today Gloria's tummy was really rumbly, she was spitting up, and she was stiffening herself. I decided that I needed to call the doctor and get her in to see someone - if only for our peace of mind. The doctor couldn't find anything wrong with her - she just kept saying that Gloria looked perfect. She said her tummy did sound gassy and suggested that I stop eating dairy for a week just to see if causes any change in Gloria, though she doesn't think that dairy is the problem. I think I will take a week - or at least a few days - away from drinking milk and eating cheese and ice cream.

Here are a few pictures from a week ago...

It's the mom-arazzi!

Gloria must feel like she's a movie star with all the pictures that I take of her. I can't help it, and neither could you if you were me! She's just too cute and delicious!

My little apple blossom - all ready for the day!
(Tuesday, April 22)

Yesterday was a beautiful day! The sun was shining and it was warm - warm enough for short sleeves, and then shorts in the later half of the day! Gloria and I spent part of the morning outside, walking up the driveway and then waiting on the swing for her great grandparents to visit.

Here she is waiting for me to put down the camera so we can go outside!

"MUAH!"

"I'm yummy in yellow!"

"It's so much fun going on stroller rides!"

Don't those cheeks just ask for kisses?!

Little feet...

...and little hands.

Grandma and Grandpa Wennerberg showed up and we had a great time together. Gloria showed off her rolling and standing skills. She even had Great-Grandma down on the floor with her for tummy time!

"Great-Grandma couldn't resist my charm and had to get down on my level!"

Then Auntie April came over for her last Wednesday night dinner. Rob made special Harb-inchildas to help April celebrate the end of the school year. Gloria had on a special outfit to help her celebrate and to make sure that April knew that she will be missed. Gloria (and I) have gotten spoiled by having April come over every week on Wednesday and other days. It really has helped me get through these three months by giving me something to look forward to and having someone to talk to. Not only will Gloria miss seeing her auntie's face, I'm going to miss seeing my sissy's face all the time :)

"My shirt says it all..."

Gloria's first skirt! She looked so grown-up.

"I LOVE to stand up, but I still need someone to help a little bit."

I'm 14 weeks old today!

What a beautiful day it is! The news had said it was supposed to rain, but there is no sign of a raindrop anywhere. It's about 75 degrees, perfect weather to enjoy the outside without getting sweaty. Right now Gloria is outside with Rob. She needs some sunglasses though - the brightness makes her squint and hide her head in the neck of whoever is holding her.

"I'm so cute!"

"Oh Mommy - enough pictures!"

We built her jumperoo today! She really likes sitting in it. Her feet can touch the floor (just barely) so she can kind of bounce herself. All sorts of fun things to look at and feel.

And we think little Miss Gloria might be teething...she's been more fussy than normal, extra drooly, chewing on her hand nonstop (and whatever else she can get to her mouth), not really wanting to nurse very well, and she has been having diarrhea. Guess we'll just wait and see. We did give her a teething toy and after she got used to the cold feeling of holding it in her hand, she was gnawing on it.

Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

"Good morning!"

Yesterday was such a sunny and warm day that April and I took Gloria on a walk down the street. She seemed to enjoy it for the most part; she cried as we were going up the driveway so I carried her to the end, then she took a very quick nap in the stroller and was all smiles for the rest of the walk. Today is looking to be just as lovely outside so I'm thinking about taking another walk with Gloria. However, instead of walking down our street which has no sidewalks or really any shade, I'll drive us over to a neighborhood about a mile away with sidewalks and lots and lots of nice shade trees.

"My hand is so yummy!
And I like to hold onto my knee just like I did in one of my ultrasound pictures!"

Tummy time fun

"Ooooh!"

Kisses for the birdy!

"Look at me holding my head up!"

"I'm growing up and getting stronger!"

"Tummy time isn't too bad. I can look at all sorts of fun things!"

How Gloria spent her 3 month birthday

3 months.

Gloria decided that since it was her special day, she was going to stay in bed until 10am. Of course she got up to eat around 7:30, but went back to sleep holding onto mommy's finger. When she got up, she played in her bouncy seat and then took a bath.

She ate again and fell asleep. When Gloria woke up, Grandma and Grandpa Harbin were here to entertain her :)

After another feeding, the four of us enjoyed a birthday cupcake in honor of Miss Gloria.

Then, we all went to an open house in the area. Gloria was as happy as a clam, riding around the house on me in her pink wrap.

She ended her "birthday" by taking a walk up the driveway in her stroller to get the mail, watching her mobile and swinging in her swing.

She was having too much fun on her birthday that sleep was something she didn't want to do - but finally was worn out and sleeping by 9:30pm. She slept until 7:30 this morning :) Must really have been a fun and exhausting day yesterday!

I Love You!

Just a few pictures and a video from yesterday that were taken after I posted...

"I LOVE YOU!"

"I love my daddy so much!"

Well, it's raining today - not a good day for a walk, but maybe a good day to go to Meijer. Tomorrow is Gloria's 3 month birthday and Grandma and Grandpa Harbin will be here visiting. I think I'm going to make Gloria some "birthday" cupcakes :)

Not a fluke...

Gloria can roll from her tummy to her back! She did it once on Monday, but she did it so quickly that both my mom and I missed it even though we were sitting right next to her. Today I put her on her tummy for tummy time and within a matter of seconds she turned herself over. I put her back on her tummy, and again she rolled. Then I grabbed the video camera and she did it again! Since she can now roll over, tummy time doesn't seem too bad to Gloria. She was holding her head and neck up looking in her mirror for quite awhile.

Gloria has really been using her hands to grab things - like toys, burp cloths, my shirt - and loves to bring them to her mouth. I can remember when just a few weeks ago she really struggled to get her hands to her mouth and now she rarely has them out of her mouth!

Today I decided to take Gloria on a little walk up our driveway to get the mail. It was warm and sunny as I got the stroller out of the car. Then I went back inside to change Gloria's diaper and clothes. (She had on a warm sleeper so I put her in something more lightweight.) I got her strapped in the stroller and we began our walk. As we reached the end of our driveway before going up the hill, I felt a few raindrops. They were very sporadic so I decided we would continue our walk. At the top of the hill, it started really raining. Instead of getting the mail, we turned around and went back home. It was a very short-lived rain because right now, as I'm typing, it's sunny and clear again. Maybe we'll try for another walk when Rob gets home from work.

Right now, Gloria is taking a nap in her swing. I guess she was too tired to let go of her toy! (I don't know why she's so tired. It's 3:30 right now and this is her third nap since she woke up for the day at 9!)

3 month photo shoot & a Biker Baby

Gloria has been figuring out more about her hands lately. They are always in her mouth and she's been holding onto her toys a lot too. She held onto one little ring toy for almost 20 minutes the other day :)

"I'm holding on!"

Today Gloria went to JCPenneys and had her 3 month pictures taken. She did great - smiling and posing. The pictures turned out gorgeous! I wanted to buy a sheet of almost all of her poses (but I didn't.) As we were driving there, I said, "I can't believe that we're already having her 3 month pictures taken!" Time flies...

Yesterday, my mom, Gloria, and I went for a walk on some of the trails by our house. Gloria rode in her wrap, facing out to see all of the beautiful nature and wildlife. I don't even think we were halfway done when she fell asleep. All of that fresh air put her right to sleep - and it was so easy to carry her in the wrap. I'll be carrying her all over as the weather gets warmer.

"I'm ready to go on the walk now Mommy."

And, since the weather was so nice, Rob had his bike out and let Gloria take a look.

"What is this crazy contraption?"

"Look at me! I'm a biker baby!"
