Outside

This morning, Gloria was lounging in her bouncy seat with Rob sitting right next to her. We didn't have her buckled in because she was in a sleep bag. Next thing you know, Gloria is half off the seat. She was scooting herself down, down, down. It's like she wanted to get really close to see the fishies and to touch the ones that hang.




Gloria really got to enjoy the great outdoors today. It was pretty warm (especially in the sun) so we put her in the stroller and strolled around the driveway and up to get the mail. She even fell asleep for awhile. It was a bit windy so we didn't stay out too long. Her little face was getting a bit chilly.

Eat, eat, eat

Gosh, it seems like all I did today was feed Miss Gloria. She would eat a bit and then fall asleep. Then, when she woke up, she would be cranky and eat a bit again. It was like a day of constant snacking. We did get in a bit of good play time though. She had a staring contest with Mr. Monkey, sat in her exersaucer for quite awhile, and rode around in my homemade wrap.

New things and places

Yesterday, Rob and I went to pick up an exersaucer that someone was selling online. It's in really good condition - just needs to be cleaned up. Gloria is still a bit too small to go in it without something to help prop her up, but Rob still put her in it for a few minutes. It's going to be at my mom's house so Gloria has something to sit in and play with when we visit (which we'll be doing quite a bit in the upcoming months.)

"Something doesn't seem right..."

Last night Gloria slept for 10 straight hours - 9:30 to 7:30. I was well refreshed. Then, she ate a bit after she woke up, we talked a bit, and then she slept for another hour on my chest. Silly girl.

I went to the fabric store today and bought some light-weight cotton gauze to make my own baby wrap to carry Gloria in. The wrap I had was way too hot for us to be in together. We would always sweat when I was carrying her. So, I got some light pink fabric and made my own wrap and it appears as if it will work wonderfully as the weather gets warmer.

We went to visit Rob at work tonight - it was his monthly meeting. Gloria got to meet everyone that Rob works with and she had a good time, even though she was tired.

4 Generations

Yesterday, Gloria and I took a road trip to St. Joe. She did great on the way there but I didn't think she was acting like herself while we were there. I think she had a bit of a tummy ache. Gloria had a lot of fun playing with her Grammy, Great-Grandma, and Auntie Kathy. On the way home she cried a bit so I turned the interior lights on and off, played music, sang, talked - anything to help her stop crying for a minute or two. She had a rough night, too, once we got home. She didn't really want to eat and didn't want to go to sleep. Finally, Rob was able to get her to sleep.

4 generations!

11 weeks

Today marks 11 weeks since Gloria was born. It's crazy to think that it's already been 2 1/2 months since we went to the hospital as a couple and left as a family. She's changing so fast, learning so many new things, smiling all of the time, and even laughing - so many changes in such a short time.

Gloria and I are going to take another road trip tomorrow to St. Joe to visit my mom and others. I'm hoping that Gloria is as good of a traveler as she was last time we went to St. Joe. We'll be leaving around 10 and then coming back around 6ish. Wish us luck!
