Celebrating January 13, 2010

Gloria began her 2 year birthday by watching Sesame Street on the couch, wearing only a diaper and her blankie. She was being a naked girl!

After giving Boomer a hug, Gloria, Rob, and I headed to the library.

Gloria enjoyed a snack of blueberries before working on puzzles, playing computer games, and picking out books.

After the library, she had her birthday lunch at Bob Evans, complete with milk in a cup with a twisty straw!

Before bed, we played with her new kitchen that she had opened up the night before at her party.

Gloria's 2nd Birthday (Party #2)

On Saturday, January 23, we had another birthday party for Gloria. We had a lot of people over for lunch, presents, and cake. Gloria enjoyed herself once again. It was nice to see everyone and to show off our new house!

A giant size bag of animal crackers!

Pretty raincoat!

It's a helmet! No, it's a basket for her tricycle!

A pretty princess fairy costume!

Gloria's favorite card was from Jason and Corrie. It played music when she opened it.

"Hey, let me check that out!"

"Where's Gloria?!"
Look at the aftermath of all of the gifts!

"More cake?! I can't believe it!"

Smiley birthday girl Gloria!

Make a wish!
She did so great blowing out her candles.

YUM!

"I'm TWO!"

Christmas 2009 (part 5)

The day after Christmas, we drove to Taylor to celebrate Christmas with Rob's family at Amy and Derrick's new house.

Grandma and her sweeties -
Julian (a few months shy of 4) and Gloria (a few weeks shy of 2)

Opening presents is one of Gloria's favorite things to do! She's a master at it!

Grandma and Poppa gave her a new doll. She loves it so much!

Our friends Corrie and Jason came over on New Year's Day for a visit. They gave Gloria another personalized ornament from Frankenmuth and a giant coloring book!

Gloria is modeling the new socks that Jason and Corrie gave me - not her! There are 5 pairs and she tried them all on.

On January 2, after digging out from under two or so feet of snow, we went to our final Christmas party at Grandma Vicki and Grandpa Hettig's house.

Gloria opened up a new purse and carried around some of the wrapping paper inside. Notice how she holds her arm up high to keep the purse from falling down :)

A new tent (with a tunnel)!

I love opening big presents!

A tricycle!

I love it!

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Watch as Gloria opens her big box and discovers all the goodies inside!

That evening, when we left to drive home, it was another super snowstorm complete with huge snowflakes. A perfect way to end the day!

Christmas 2009 (part 4 - Santa came!)

Peeking around the corner to see if Santa came
12-25-09

He did!

"Playing Little People!"

"Merry Christmas!"

"I love my new Elmo movie!!!"

"How did Santa know that I love books, too?!"

Watch Gloria do a puzzle and open a present!

After a long day of playing with our new toys, right before going to bed, we took a few family pictures in front of the Christmas tree using the timer on the camera. Gloria had fun watching the light blink, waiting for it to go really fast. She gave such a great smile each time. Here are just some of the pictures:

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2009!
